Finished the Training Class!

Sorry I took a few days to respond :)

I walked out the SL training class feeling quite good about the whole thing. It ended on a pleasant note ( and a little earlier than expected). Everyone was in great spirits and gave each other hugs and took lots of photos. I didn't have a camera so I didn't take pictures with the exception of one that is on my phone. That one was of Dr. Joann at the front of the room. I am sure you'll see other photographs if you go to other blogs. Sorry :(

On the third day of class Dr. Jo came to speak to us about our training as well as the topic of self love and acceptance. She's quite serious about Sisterlocks TM. She equiatated it to that of a Ferrari. I thought that was interesting. The Ferrari analogy helped me realize why Sisterlocks TM runs the way it does- it is about high quality and sometimes you have to have airs about that quality and uniqueness so that other will see it as such. Airs doesn't have to have a negative conotation- it's about being proud of a lifestyle for African Americans and by African Americans. Why not be proud?
